Fueling the Future of Uganda’s Innovators
The Challenge: Turning Ideas into Impact Uganda is a nation of incredible entrepreneurial energy, yet many young innovators aged 18–35 face a "valley of death" where brilliant ideas stall due to a lack of mentorship and seed capital. The Youth Business Innovation Challenge 2026 (YBIC) is here to change that narrative.
Why Support YBIC 2026? We aren't just looking for business ideas; we are looking for solutions. This challenge identifies young leaders who are creating cross-sector innovations with real social impact—from sustainable agriculture to tech-driven community development.
How Your Funding Makes a Difference:
Your contribution to this crowdfunding campaign goes directly toward:
- Seed Capital: We provide direct funding (up to UGX 5 million for the winner) to help startups bridge the gap from prototype to pilot.
- Structured Mentorship: Winners don't just get a check; they are paired with seasoned Rotary mentors and industry advisors for long-term guidance.
- Sustainable Ecosystems: We provide a "Business Starter Kit," professional training, and linkages to financial institutions and global markets.
The Goal:
Our target is to reduce youth unemployment by creating "survivable" enterprises—businesses that aren't just launched, but thrive past the 12-month mark and go on to create jobs for others in their communities.
