130 children are counting on Serena's Children Foundation this year — for books, uniforms, and a reason to stay in class. Without your help, many risk falling behind and dropping out for good.
Serena's Children Foundation works through partnerships to provide scholastic and sanitary materials, mentorship and food for vulnerable children at Kyasira Home of Hope in Wakiso, Uganda. We're now extending this support to more children in rural Mpigi who would otherwise drop out of school.
Without scholastic materials and meals, children miss lessons, fall behind, and eventually stop attending school altogether — increasing their risk of early marriage, teenage pregnancy, drug abuse and deeper poverty. Since 2023, we've supplied 20 children with books and uniforms and held mentorship sessions reaching 50 children, working alongside one orphanage, one school, and two community-based organizations.
This term, we're asking Uganda to help us give all 130 children under our care a complete scholastic kit, uniform, and shoes — everything a child needs to walk into class with dignity. Every shilling stays local, supports a real child, and keeps a future on track.
